I took Nancy and Sarah for breakfast at Dian Sam House at Taman Bukit Pasir.  Although there are a number of dim sum restaurants in Batu Pahat, the newest  being 
The owner seems to have a passion for collecting curios and knick-knacks which he proudly displays on one wall.
It is definitely more comfortable eating there than in the more traditional 'Fu Kui Siang' restaurant at Jalan Mohd Akil.
