"China's Internet Zorros"

In Malaysia, we have the moral police, spying and arresting couples and individuals for indecent behaviour; in China, they have the internet vigilantes, or 'zorros', who serve a much more useful purpose. These 'zorros' track and expose officials who are corrupt or abuse their power.

The official who tried to molest an 11 year old girl in a restaurant was let off for 'lack of evidence' by police investigating the complaint. However, angry netizens tracked and posted his picture, his name, his workplace and his political rank on the net leading authorities to take action against him to placate the public.
