The Bread Stick Maker

This bread stick and hum chin peng maker and his son have been a permanent fixture outside Chau Yang coffee shop, now known as Mee Yok Lim, at SS2, Petaling Jaya for more than 20 years. Queuing up in the morning to buy his bread stick and hum chin peng is the norm. His popularity is due to his unstinting use of fresh oil to fry his bread stick. Break stick is usually eaten with porridge as well as black coffee into which the bread stick is dipped.
