There was a dramatic 13.4% increase in violent crimes last year, of which rape cases were up by about 30% and gang robbery by a whopping 160%. There is no end to the Police force's problems, so it seems. The latest to add to its headache is the allegation of conflict of interest in a lucrative deal to lease helicopters from a company, Web Power, for use in the police force.
